Combatting the Current Job Market.

Greetings Everyone,

As we all are aware about the current job market and the type of roles being offered to freshers. There is a stage where people learn, in today's world it is more of a exploitation of individuals and the fair paying jobs ask for work experience.

I set out to solve this problem the previous year and I went to the NGO, where I was volunteering which provided voluntary certificates for our assocation with the NGO, provided we met the requirements and asked them if they could provide an experience certificate instead. After a long discussion of why and why not, they agreed and viola I added a 3 years experience to my C.V.

As jobs and their requirements become unreasonable it is necessary we prepare ourselves for the job market to have an upper edge to other candidates.

This will help me as well to rope in better packages into the campus. Since we won't be classified as a fresher anymore but rather as an experienced professional.

Last year I had done this with only me on an experimental basis and I started to apply to diffrent jobs and started getting shortlisted. One such was a Internship at Google which had a requirement of 3 years of experience, I got through but left it as I had an offer letter from a startup already.

This year we have had talks and on mutual terms we agreed and a 100 vacancies have been listed out  with some reserved for Department of Bussiness Administration and Department of Foreign Language.

While there might be a lot of speculations whether it would be counted as a work ex and it may differ from organisations to organisations in the end of the day many count it since it is an act of social service for the commitee and you have worked for it.

Meetings are held on Sundays and holidays only so it won't hamper your schedule or studies.
